Three Important Questions to ask Oneself

Working with bereaved or grieving families many different resources come across my desk. I try to look at them from my clinical training are they sound and so forth. But I also try to look at them from a friend perspective is this that does not sound patronizing or obnoxious coming from someone on the outside. After looking at this concept I thought it passed, but I would also like to know what you all think as well.

The concept is that there are three questions that will be helpful in your grieving process. They are truly process questions the goal is to help you walk through or think through what is happening. This would be done on your time schedule, when your ability and desire comes to a place that this would be helpful.

1. What have I lost?
2. What do I have left?
3. What may still be possible for me?

The interesting thing is that as you go along in your personal journey of grief the answers may change at times. In the beginning the biggest answer may be at the front and you can't even comprehend the answer to number three. While you walk along in your journey your loss will be the same, the one you love is still gone and there is still a hole where they are supposed to be in your life but you at some point might be able to consider what may still be possible for me. This website is in response to these questions and thinking through what Kim and Kevin had lost, what was left and what still may be possible.

I encourage you to think about these things when you are ready. Discuss them with like expereinced or like minded people who have a chance at understanding and connecting with you.
